Privacy
This site collects nothing. No cookies, no analytics, no trackers, and no third party anything.
What this website does
This is a set of static pages. It sets no cookies, it stores nothing in your browser, and it loads nothing from any other server. The typefaces and images are served from this site, not from an outside provider, which means no third party learns that you visited.
There is no analytics package, no tag manager, no advertising pixel, no session recording and no chat widget. Nobody is counting your visit, including me.
The contact form
The form on the contact page does not send anything anywhere by itself. There is no server behind it. When you press send, it opens your own email program with the message already written, and you choose whether to send it. Until you do, what you typed has not left your computer.
If you would rather skip the form entirely, write to hello@argetam.com directly. It reaches exactly the same place.
What happens to your email
If you write to me, I keep the correspondence so I can do the work and answer questions about it later, which for a made piece means keeping notes on the specification, the size and the date. That is a legitimate business interest and it is also just how a workshop has to run.
Order records, including your name, delivery address and what was made, are kept for six years, because tax law requires it. General enquiries that do not turn into orders are deleted after two years.
Payment is by bank transfer. I see the name on the transfer and the reference, and nothing else. No card details ever reach me, because I do not take cards.
Who else sees it
The courier gets your name, address and a phone number if you give one, because a parcel needs those. My accountant sees order records at the year end. The email is held by an ordinary commercial email provider, as everybody's is.
Nothing is sold, shared for advertising, or passed to anybody else, and there is nothing here to subscribe to.
Your rights
You can ask what I hold about you, ask for a copy, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted where I am not required to keep it. Write to hello@argetam.com and I will answer within thirty days, usually the same week.
If you think I have handled your information badly, tell me first and I will try to fix it. You also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office, and doing so does not require my agreement.
Children
Nothing here is aimed at children and I do not knowingly correspond with anyone under sixteen about an order without a parent involved.
Changes
If this page changes, the date at the top changes with it. There is no archive of old versions, because there has only ever been this one.
